Meet in the Street

Where: Downtown Wake Forest

When: Saturday, May 4, 10 am – 4 pm

Wake Forest’s premier arts and crafts, music and food festival will feature over 100 artisan booths, live music, dozens of food trucks and activities for the kids.

Art in the Garden Sculpture Exhibition

Where: Garden Art Gallery, 1902 Borland Road Hillsborough

When: Saturday, May 4, 10 am – 5 pm; Sunday, May 5, 12 – 5 pm; and Saturday, May 11, 10 am – 5 pm

The 29th Annual Art in the Garden Sculpture exhibition will feature some amazing works from local artists. The event is free and will go on rain or shine!

Longleaf Film Festival

Where: North Carolina Museum of History, Raleigh

When: Friday, May 10; Saturday, May 11

The free-to-attend film festival highlights independent cinema that is connected to North Carolina through those involved making it, subject matter or filming location. The films range from a few minutes long to to feature length. The event is sponsored by the North Carolina Museum of History and aims to draw more attention to the stories and films that bring the state together.

Got To Be NC Festival

Where: NC State Fairgrounds, Raleigh

When: Friday – Sunday, May 17 – 19

Got To Be NC Fest is a celebration of local farmers and will have a wide array of local vendors selling delicious food, drinks and more. There will also be activities representing the state’s heritage and history as well as arts vendors, exhibits and demonstrations.

Artsplosure

Where: Downtown Raleigh

When: Saturday, May 18, 11 am – 7 pm; Sunday, May 19, 10 am – 6 pm

Artsplosure is THE arts festival in Raleigh. It’s the city’s long-running, yearly eruption of artistic creativity and energy. There will be free musical performances by a range of musicians and over 175 visual arts and crafts booths at the market, interactive art installations, all sorts of other performers and much more.

Animazement

Where: Raleigh Convention Center

When: Friday – Sunday, May 24 – 26

Animazement is Raleigh’s premier Japanese animation and cultural convention. There will be live performances, artwork, dancing, videogames, vendors, food and much more.

NC Sugar Rush

Where: City Plaza, Fayetteville St, Raleigh

When: Sunday, May 26, 12 – 7 pm

An array of local dessert vendors will take over Fayetteville Street. If you love sweets this is a great time to try all sorts of creative and delicious treats. There will also be live performances and other activities.
