The Soccer Tournament

Where: WakeMed Soccer Park, Cary

When: June 4 – 9

The 7v7 player tournament pits teams local and international, against one another for a million dollar winner-take-all prize in each of the men’s and women’s brackets.

Raleigh International Food Festival

Where: City Plaza, Downtown Raleigh

When: Saturday, June 7, 11 am – 9 pm

Downtown Raleigh will be abuzz with a celebration of the area’s diverse culinary traditions from over 50 countries. There will be live music and dance performances, refreshments, and lots and lots of delicious food.

American Dance Festival

Where: Locations throughout Durham

When: June 11 – July 26

“The world’s greatest dance festival,” according to the New York Post, the event begins in June and runs all the way through July. ADF aims to promote and support modern dance through a wide range of methods including education, community outreach, national and international initiatives and more. The festival is just as much about participating as it is spectating. There are numerous performances as well as classes and workshops.

NC Hops Fest

Where: Midtown Park at North Hills, Raleigh

When: Saturday, June 14, 12 – 5 pm

The 5th Annual NC Hops Fest will feature NC craft beer, ciders, live music, local vendors and great food. A ticket gets you entry and unlimited beer samples.

Out! Raleigh Pride

Where: Fayetteville St, Downtown Raleigh

When: Friday, June 20, 6 – 10 pm; Saturday, June 21, 12 – 7 pm

Raleigh’s celebration of Pride Month will culminate in a two-day event centered around downtown. The first will be a festive Friday night and the second is an all-day event on Saturday, with live entertainment, vendors and artists, tons of food, a kids zone, beer garden and more.

Juneteenth Festival

Where: North Carolina Central University, Durham

When: Saturday, June 21, 1 – 8 pm

Juneteenth is a celebration of African American culture, heritage and achievements, rooted in the abolishment of slavery. It is often referred to as African American Independence Day and is recognized as a state holiday in North Carolina and many other states. There will be live performances, food, a kids zone and more at NCCU’s campus as well as other events that lead up to the festival.

Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo

Where: Fayetteville Street, Downtown Raleigh

When: Saturday, June 28, 12 – 6 pm

The area’s best food trucks will take over Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh and serve up every kind of amazing food imaginable. There will also be drinks and activities!
