Wake Forest’s premier arts and crafts, music and food festival will feature over 100 artisan booths, live music, dozens of food trucks and activities for the kids.

Fest In the West

Where: Thomas Brooks Park, Cary

When: Sat, May 7, 11 am – 5 pm

The free community festival brings a range of entertainment to Western Cary:

“You will find two stages of entertainment featuring some of the best talent in the Triangle. Food trucks will be in three areas, meaning you won’t have to walk far for lunch or dinner. Our Beer Garden is centrally located. We have a FREE Kids Corral with activities for families, not to mention an adorable Petting Zoo. Come for the music, compete in a contest, and purchase unique items in the Village of Arts and Crafts.”

Apex PeakFest

Where: Downtown Apex

When: Saturday, May 7

Downtown Apex’s main thoroughfare, Salem Street, closes down to cars and opens up for the community. PeakFest is all about family, friends and fun. There will be activities, musical performances, arts and crafts, vendors and more!

Bimbé Cultural Arts Festival

Where: Rock Quarry Park, Durham

When: Saturday, May 18, 12 – 8 pm

In its 52nd year, the Bimbé Cultural Art Festival “is a celebration of African and African American history, culture, arts, and traditions.” There will be live music by local groups, arts and crafts, delicious food, community resources and more.

Go To Be NC Festival

Where: NC State Fairgrounds, Raleigh

When: Friday-Sunday, May 20-22

Got To Be NC Fest has all sorts of local vendors, including delicious food and drinks and aims to celebrate local farmers. There will also be activities representing the state’s heritage and history as well as arts vendors, exhibits and demonstrations,

Artsplosure

Where: Downtown Raleigh

When: Saturday, Sunday, May 21, 22

Artsplosure is THE arts festival in Raleigh. It’s the city’s long-running, yearly eruption of artistic creativity and energy, centered around Fayetteville Street. There will be free musical performances by a range of musicians and over 175 visual arts and crafts booths at the market, interactive art installations, all sorts of other performers and much more.

NC Sugar Rush

Where: City Plaza, Fayetteville St, Raleigh

When: Sun, May 29, 1 – 5 pm

Over 20 dessert vendors will take over Fayetteville street along with live performances and other vendors. If you love sweets this is a great time to try all sorts of creative and beautiful concoctions.
